Vision
Okmin Papua University's vision is "To become a Higher Education Institution that is Superior and Internationally Competitive based on the potential and local wisdom of Papua and Melanesia in 2048".
Mission
Okmin Papua University's mission is:
1. Organizing higher education activities to produce graduates who are superior and internationally competitive, as well as competent in mastering science and knowledge based on the potential and local wisdom of Papua and Melanesia
2. Organize research activities based on Papuan and Melanesian potential and local wisdom and become a reference for research in relation to anthropology, environment and Papuan and Melanesian culture both at national and international levels
3. Organizing Community Service Activities based on the potential and local wisdom of Papua and Melanesia as an effort to empower the people of the Central Highlands region of Papua and the Border Region of Papua New Guinea, especially Papua towards a prosperous and competitive society.
4. Carry out cooperation with various institutions and organizations both domestic and foreign in order to improve networks and realize national and international competitiveness.
5. Develop good institutional and organizational governance to realize Good University Governance
Objectives
The achievement of the Vision and Mission of Okmin Papua University is described in the form of goals, strategies and implementation programs which will then be detailed by each work unit in accordance with their respective objectives and authorities. The formulation of strategic objectives at the institutional level is as follows:
1. Organizing education to produce graduates who have faith, are competent in science, are globally competitive, have integrity, have noble character, to meet the needs of themselves and society
2. Producing scientific products through research activities based on Papuan and Melanesian potential and local wisdom that can make a positive contribution to all UOP academics, as well as to the progress of the Papuan people in particular, as well as to the country and the Nation
3. Making UOP a medium for making Papuan & Melanesian heritage through the establishment of the Papuan-Melanesian Heritage Center for local, national and international communities
4. Make UOP a source of introduction and enrichment of biodiversity including the Tropical Rain Forest as one of the wealth of Papuan and Melanesian resources both at the National and International levels
5. Making UOP a superior institution in Governance based on Papuan and Melanesian local wisdom values to realize Good University Governance,
6. Making UOP an institution capable of being the initiator and driving force for the development of the Papua region and the empowerment of the Papuan people through community service activities based on the potential and local wisdom of Papua and Melanesia.
7. Making UOP an educational institution capable of carrying out collaborations and building networks both at the national and global levels

As we look ahead, I believe that we must continue to strive for excellence in everything we do. This means attracting the best students, recruiting the best faculty, and providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
At the same time, we must remain committed to our core values of diversity, equity and inclusion. This means creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their background or identity.

S1 Anthropology
Students will study various aspects of human culture, such as values, norms, and social systems that shape human life in society. In addition, students will also learn about ways to understand and analyze human culture from an anthropological point of view, through research, observation, and direct interviews with certain groups of people.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
1. Student organizations: Students can join student organizations such as UKM (Student Activity Unit) or HMJ (Departmental Student Association) to develop skills and knowledge and expand social networks.
